Liwanag sa Dilim
Last night, some Visayan Islands witnessed a blackout after some power plants tripped. Anyway, I won't go into the details of the blackout itself but I'll go into the details of what I did during the blackout, lol. I was desperately in need of something to do during those hours. Well I have a lot of choices. I could have watered the plants or played with the kids but it was totally dark. So I just decided to play with my camera and make the most out of its limited features. And the candle photo you're seeing above is just one of some more photos I took yesterday.
The photo was taken using an Olympus FE-240 point and shoot camera.
P.S. At this very moment, I'm also looking for resources so that I could purchase my own DSLR camera. I'm thinking about getting a Nikon D40x from Jerry's since I'm just a starter.
Take Care!
Boredom Strikes
On a cool Sunday afternoon (11.11.07), I was left at home with nothing to do so I decided to watch a DVD tutorial about Adobe Photoshop from Photoshop Top Secret. The photo you're seeing above is the result after I applied what I learned from the "Special Effects" tutorial of the said video. There's really nothing special about it. I just thought of sharing it to all of you. Have a nice day!

How Much?
How Much?
How much is this plastic pot? Php59.75. Anyway I was just testing the features of my new Olympus FE-240 camera which replaced my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2, whose lens system was damaged and would need Php10,000 for it to be repaired. Seems impractical so my dad just bought a new camera below Php20,000 so that it won't hurt too much if it gets damaged too.
And also, today is the last day of Metro Gaisano's 25th Anniversary Sale so go and rush to the nearest Metro Gaisano outlet nearest you! Lol, I just connected it with this blogpost since the plastic pot above was bought from Metro Ayala. Ciao!

Buried
Humility is something that you should cultivate in all your endeavors, and blogging is no exception.
It is easy to get cocky once you start receiving a couple thousand of daily visitors, after all the vast majority of bloggers out there struggle to reach a tenth of that. But think twice before not answering a comment on your blog just because it is coming from a beginner.
Want some pragmatical reasons regarding why you should be humble? People will be more likely to leave comments on your blog and even to link to your articles. Even if you are making thousands of dollars monthly from your blog people will be reluctant to get involved with you if they don’t like your attitude in the first place.
Humility should be reflected on all your activities, from the style of your writing to how you respond to comments and emails. Just get over yourself!
